A motorist has been charged over a horrific crash involving two cars in Northolt in the early hours of Monday.
Police launched an investigation after a BMW was involved in a collision with a Ford Focus on Ruislip Road shortly after 4.40am.
Before the collision, the BMW had come to the notice of a patrolling police car due to the alleged speed at which it was traveling.
Kamil Rouibah, 25, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, causing serious injury by dangerous driving and failing to stop for police.
He will appear at Uxbridge Magistrate Court on Tuesday.
A second man, aged 25, who was arrested following the collision has been released with no further action.
The driver of the Ford Focus, a man aged 47, died at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and are being supported.
Two occupants of the BMW were taken to hospital for treatment before being discharged. They were arrested and subsequently charged.
