A driver has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and other motoring offences after a police pursuit through Hyde and Ashton, police said in the early hours of this morning.
Greater Manchester Police's traffic division tweeted at 2.51am today (Monday) that the BMW vehicle was pursued through in the east of the city, before the motorist lost control.
He was then boxed in - trapped - by police cars and arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, having no insurance and failing to stop.
The tweet said: "The driver of this BMW was pursued through #Hyde and #Ashton earlier by #ZME08 and #ZME48. The driver lost control and his vehicle was boxed in.
"He was #arrested for Dangerous Driving, No Insurance and failing to stop. @NWmwaypolice."
