Drive-in movies returning to Loch Lomond Shores for the festive period

Drive-in movies, hosted by itison, are returning to the Loch Lomond Shores for the festive period.

Entering their ninth year, tickets for the films will go on sale next week. Having sold out every time since 2013, you’ll have to be quick if you want to head down for the special nights.

Bringing Christmas cheer in bucket loads, they’ll be showing classics from Elf, Love Actually and Die Hard - not to mention a host of festive treats and new in-car entertainment. The organisation will also be bringing back the famous itison Car-aoke.

The drive-in movie nights have become a festive tradition for families across the country with over 200,000 visitors in its history. In previous years, the events have sold out within 24 hours.

Oli Norman, itison CEO and founder of Drive-in Movies, said: “Everyone has a favourite Christmas movie, and there’s something so warming about the idea of getting together with your loved ones to sit and enjoy those classics together. Our Drive-in Movies give people the chance to feel that Christmas buzz, get out and about while staying warm in the colder weather, and do something a bit different to the usual festive traditions.

“All of itison’s events are based on the principle of bringing people together, putting on world-class events in our home country and having fun; and Drive-in, our first and original event, perfectly captures all of that which has kept people coming back every year.”

Adding to the classics previously screened, films such as Nativity and The Holidays have been added to the roster this year.
