Drew and Jonathan Scott's classic curtain designs are the easiest (and most affordable) way to elevate a space – they embody timeless elegance

Drew and Jonathan Scott.

2025 is going to be all about characterful rooms. Adding textiles, texture, and color are among the ways to bring personality to a space, and curtains are among the most underrated ways to do this. While we often discuss the role soft furnishings play in customizing a design, curtains are usually left out of that conversation. Drew and Johnathan Scott, formally known as The Property Brothers, want to change this.

The iconic renovating duo launched a celebrity home decor collection with Kohl's in 2019, and it's full of curtains we want to add to our homes this year. From blackout to sheer curtains, Drew and Johnathan's range provides drapery for every room at a competitive price. The materials are high quality and add a hint of texture, while maintaining a neutral color and feel that could fit into any room.

The brothers are just as thrilled about their curtain ideas as we are. In a press release for the launch, Johnathan exclaims: 'We are excited for the opportunity to collaborate with Kohl’s to create a lifestyle brand that allows families to outfit their homes with our exclusive furniture, bedding, bath, home décor, and more.' Drew added: 'Scott Living incorporates modern, stylish home design without sacrificing the functionality and value we know families need, and we’re thrilled to work with Kohl’s to bring this to life for customers nationwide.'

Styling modern curtains to elevate any room is a matter of balancing design and functionality. For instance, I would recommend using more opaque curtains in a bedroom, and more sheer curtains in a living room where you do not need to block out as much light. You can also decide if you'd prefer to use solids or patterns around the windows, based on what other patterns or colors are in the room. Curtains are a great way to engage with the 'pattern drenching' trend and cover your entire home in bright and brilliant pattern. No matter your style, Scott living is a great place to start.

Curtains may feel like an afterthought to your design, but when they're this easy to install, simple, and affordable, it's a no-brainer.
