The family-run Craft Brewery and Eatery, which is based on Ebrington Square, posted the job online this week.
Last year, the local business became the first to create the city's own gin - Earhart Gin.
The brewery said any applicant should be available to work weekends, with no late nights but up to 30 hours available during the summer.
A spokesperson explained on Facebook what they were looking for, they said: "The greatest job in the world.
"A basic level of understanding of the distillation of gin, public speaking and storytelling. Good banter and be able to work weekends.
"Training provided...(yes we will actually train you to drink gin)."
The post has caused a right stir online, with dozens commenting underneath the post.
One wrote: "I'm giving up teaching. This could be my true calling."
While another wrote: "P45’s tomorrow and lets go."
