The Golden State Warriors secured an impressive 128-110 win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Thursday. The victory was Golden State’s sixth in its last seven games. There’s a spring to the Warriors’ step that was absent earlier in the season, leading to optimism, both from those in and around the franchise and the fan base.
Draymond Green shared his excitement when speaking to the media following the Warriors win. He noted how his team is starting to peak at the right time, and their impressive turnaround is due to the emergence of multiple young talents who are stepping into the limelight with a string of impressive performances.
“I think we’re on a great trajectory,” Green said. “You always hope that your young guys can take a step in the right direction. As we can see, Jonathan Kuminga, Brandin BP, Moses, Trayce, those young guys, they’ve unlocked this team. So, I think the possibilities are endless, I think they have an unlimited amount of potential, and we’re trending in the right direction at the right time.”
Green has been vocal about the Warriors’ young core this season. He’s clearly been impressed by their skill level and their application to improving and fitting in with Steve Kerr‘s system. Their sudden growth has certainly been a catalyst to the team’s change in fortunes.

Golden State faces a tough task if they want to climb their way back up the Western Conference and into the playoff seedings. However, judging by their recent quality of play, there’s a good chance they can beat the odds and avoid the play-in tournament as a result.
