Draymond Green Sends Firm Message to Those Wondering If Warriors Dynasty Is Over

The Warriors’ title defense fell short on Friday night when the team was eliminated from the playoffs by the Lakers in Game 6 of the second-round Western Conference series.

After Golden State fizzled out of the postseason, it didn’t take long for some fans to question how much the Warriors had left in the tank. Amid conversations of Golden State’s dynasty potentially being past its prime, Draymond Green shared his thoughts on the matter.

On the latest episode of his podcast, the Draymond Green Show, Green had a two-word statement for those saying the Warriors’ dynasty has reached its end, via Bleacher Report

“It’s not,” said Green emphatically.

“A lot of people saying the Warriors dynasty are over. Which are the same people that said it was over in 2019 when KD left. Four years later they’re still saying its over. Great, they’re always wrong. It’s not,” said Green. “...Pay attention to who the people are saying the dynasty is over. It’s always the people who never really been part of a dynasty.”

While the Warriors fell short of their goals in 2022–23, Green fully expects the team to be contenders again next season. While the core of Stephen Curry (35), Klay Thompson (33) and Green (33) are getting up there in age, there doesn’t appear to be any sense of doubt from the veteran trio.

“You guys didn’t let us win another f---ing championship,” said Green, leaving his doubters with one final message. “Kudos.”
