Draymond Green has been in the headlines over the last couple of weeks for all the wrong reasons.
His altercation with Jordan Poole has been the topic of conversation in almost every NBA circle you can think of. He crossed the line in a way he absolutely should not have. And the fact that we saw the video just makes things so much worse — even despite his self-imposed suspension.
You’d think after all the drama that this thing has come with, he’d chill out. Especially considering that the Warriors are having their ring ceremony on Tuesday night. No one could possibly want to bring this up anymore, right? Right?
Apparently not. Green is still talking about it. In a segment debuting a new all-access series called “The Countdown,” Green reflected on the incident with Poole. The vibes are definitely all the way on WWE.
Green said he had no idea “how much it blew up.” Yes. Seriously.
“I never really knew how much it blew up. … I was just at home chillin with my children.”

Of course, nobody believed this. How could you not know? Once the video got out, he almost certainly got calls from somebody. There had to be someone in his inner circle telling him this was bad, no?
Fans were skeptical, to say the least.

this is hilarious. trying to come across as sincere but it just comes across as cheesy and performative… because it is. NBA leaning too far into the soap opera of it all. https://t.co/KCEgC6rDM7

Watching this stuff and remembering that Draymond said at his presser he watched the video of the punch at least 15 times is so fucking funny https://t.co/rsn7BFumy8

Besides this whole thing being extremely weird, this is also the most boring minute of video I've watched recently. What is compelling about learning he was at home when the video came out? Wow, no way. Wild stuff. https://t.co/yLGkOQTvNU
