The NBA announced that Warriors forward Draymond Green would be suspended indefinitely after he was ejected from Tuesday night’s game against the Suns after striking Jusuf Nurkic in the face.
The league will meet with Golden State coach Steve Kerr, GM Mike Dunleavy, and Green’s agent Rich Paul on Thursday in order to determine a suitable path forward for the 33-year-old, which is expected to include counseling, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Green was suspended for five games earlier this season, and had played just six games before getting hit with another ban. He’s featured in 15 of the Warriors’ 23 games this year, and will now be unavailable for the foreseeable future.
The indefinite suspension was a shocker for NBA fans, who raced to social media with a mixed bag of reactions to the four-time All-Star’s stern punishment.

The NBA got this right, it’s been too many times w/o any consequences https://t.co/WvhYAbFVSX

Last year Draymond punched his teammate, shattered the team’s championship chemistry and wasted a year of Steph’s extended prime. Somehow this year has started off worse.

Feels like this is the NBA basically telling Draymond Green that they've had enough. And we might be approaching "Quit the crap, or next time could be permanent."

Dumbest part about the Draymond stuff is he’s been incredible when available this year, statistically he really seemed back

But all that will be forgotten cuz he can’t control his emotions, dumbest situation ever.
Indefinitely?? Wow…

you know it’s bad when you get the “we need to talk” instead of the punishment. https://t.co/MaBvrESgB2

I don't know what I expected, but it wasn't "indefinitely." What a sad and weird way for things to go. https://t.co/tMnbpNMcEx

This isn’t how I want to remember Draymond. I want to remember the good times (getting suspended for punching LeBron in the nuts and opening the door for a historic Finals collapse) https://t.co/XmPHIDCA55

One thing about dynasties in the NBA is they rarely fall quietly https://t.co/mfE2Nj9SxM
