Draymond Green remains confident Warriors can win a championship

The Golden State Warriors suffered their 12th loss of the season on Friday (Dec 8) at the hands of the Oklahoma City Thunder. They gave the ball away on 28 occasions, illustrating a carelessness with the ball that undoubtedly frustrated their fanbase and the coaching staff. The Thunder has won all three games against Golden State this season.

However, Draymond Green remains confident that Golden State has all the pieces to figure things out and contend for a championship once the postseason begins. Green shared his thoughts when speaking with the media during his post-game press conference.

“I think that we’ve got all the pieces that we need in order to win,” Green said. “If you look at some of these games we’re losing, we’ve just gotta tighten up. Tighten up in the margins. We know what it takes to win a championship. I feel like we’ve got all of those things.”

Green’s late foul on Chet Holmgren was a big discussion point following the game. While Green can take his fair share of the blame, the truth is that the Warriors’ struggles are team-based and not down to any individual.

With three-quarters of the season remaining, Golden State will be confident in their ability to turn their season around and potentially embark on a deep championship run. However, before they can focus on the future, they must snap out of their slump and start stringing some wins together.
