Draymond Green not making change to his game after receiving flagrant 2 in Game 1 vs. Grizzlies

On Monday, Draymond Green’s questionable flagrant two foul call that triggered an automatic ejection in Game 1 against the Memphis Grizzlies wasn’t reduced by the NBA.

With Green’s flagrant two standing, the Golden State Warriors All-Star forward will have two flagrant points on his record for the remainder of the playoffs. Four total flagrant points results in an automatic one-game suspension.

Despite the threat of a potential suspension, Green rightfully won’t change the way he plays in the playoffs.

If I take the bite out of the way I play, then we go home early, and the points don’t matter anyways. Nah. I don’t know how to take the bite out. That don’t really work for me. Ask Steve Kerr. Ask Steve how that works for me. Take the bite out, it don’t work for me.

With his game-changing defense and fierce leadership, the Warriors can’t afford for Green to make changes to his game. Despite the flagrant point issue, the Warriors will need Green to bring his signature intensity to continue their postseason run.

Despite Green’s ejection, the Warriors were able to steal a thrilling one-point victory in game one, 117-116.

After recording six points on 2-of-3 shooting from the field with four boards, three assists, three steals and a block in 17 minutes before being ejected in Game 1, Green will be back on the court for Game 2 on Tuesday.

With the Warriors clinging to a 1-0 lead in the series, Game 2 is set to start at 6:30 p.m. PT on Tuesday at FedEx Forum in Memphis.
