The defense of Draymond Green stomping Domantas Sabonis from Game 2 of the Golden State Warriors’ playoff series against the Sacramento Kings is on.
Dray claims that Sabonis grabbed his ankle and that the only place he could step was … on Sabonis. Heck, Green called it a “solid basketball play” on Instagram, focusing on a screenshot of Sabonis’s hands seemingly around his ankle.
And there’s actually a fellow NBA player who thinks the play was on Sabonis and NOT on the guy who stomped his foot down on a star player: Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard, who tweeted this:
Take foul on Sabonis … I didn’t think Dray tried to step down … that’s just how his balance ended up 🤷🏽♂️…
