The Celtics were on the verge of making NBA history on Monday night, vying to become the first team to ever overcome a 3–0 deficit in a playoff series.
Boston was outmatched on their home court in Game 7, however, as Miami put an end to its season and set up a Heat-Nuggets NBA Finals.
Warriors forward Draymond Green was excited for the Heat after the Eastern Conference’s No. 8 seed was able to reach the championship, but even more so, Green was delighted to roast Boston and its fans after the disappointing collapse on Monday.
During the latest episode of his podcast, The Draymond Green Show, Green eviscerated the Celtics, indicating that he was happy that the team lost, with the exception of Jayson Tatum.

“Boston Celtics fans will make excuses, and I ain’t hearing none of that. Because y’all rude, and I’m happy y’all lost,” Green said. “Not happy JT lost, but Boston Celtics fans, especially those of you that are in that arena.”
Green didn’t stop there. The 33-year-old went on to critique the Celtics’ Game 7 performance.
“The Boston Celtics are who we thought they were. They got to the moment, and they did not look like they were ready for the moment,” Green said.
