Police have released security camera footage of a drive-by shooting at the family home of champion heavyweight boxer Justis Huni on Brisbane's south-side on Thursday morning.

The vision shows a car pulling up to the Sunnybank Hills home around 4am and firing nine shots, before speeding away.

At least five of the shots entered the house through the front windows.

Ten people, including Mr Huni and a six-month old baby, were home at the time but no-one was injured.

Police said no arrests have yet been made and are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

On Thursday, Mr Huni's media manager Sean Lawson said the family was unaware of a motive behind the incident.

The boxer's father, Rocki Huni, said on Thursday the family was shaken up by the incident.

"We've got our grandkids with us and that's where they sit feeding the baby.

Justis Huni is set to face off against 2014 Commonwealth Games silver medallist Joseph Goodall in Brisbane on Wednesday.

Speaking on Thursday, Huni said the shooting would not distract him from the highly anticipated fight.

"You get your house shot at, you're going to be a little bit shocked but after it happened, we still went to training, we still got the sparring done, so my focus is still at next Wednesday," he said.

"I'm just thankful that everyone is all good and we are all healthy, no-one got hurt."

Both Huni and Goodall are currently undefeated, and Wednesday's fight is a significant step on Huni's path to a world heavyweight title.

It is his first time back in the ring in 12 months, since he sensationally defeated Paul Gallen in June last year before an injury pulled him out of Olympic contention.
