A police car was rammed by suspected burglars in dramatic scenes on the M621 at Leeds.
The occupants of a wanted BMW managed to ram their way out of a police blockade before crashing into some traffic lights in Gildersome on Wednesday afternoon. West Yorkshire Police had been called to check out a sighting of the BMW, after its occupants had been linked to a previous aggravated burglary.
Officers found the car on the M621 and when they attempted to contain it, it rammed its way out and sped off. Following a short pursuit, the vehicle was tactically sent off the road at the junction of the A6110 Ring Road and Gelderd Road where it then hit some traffic lights.
