Dramatic images have shown a Scots barn engulfed ablaze in a quiet village in Fife.
Emergency services rushed to the scene on North Wind in Colinsburgh, Fife at around 5.49pm on Friday, March 25.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) deployed seven appliances as firefighters continue to work on extinguishing the inferno.
It's understood that there is also a police and ambulance presence in the area although there are not yet reports of any injuries.
Police Scotland officers are recommending that doors and windows of nearby homes are closed due to the smoke and fumes.
An SFRS spokesperson said: “We were called to reports of a barn alight on North Wind, Colinsburgh at 17.49 on Friday, March 25.
“We currently have seven appliances in attendance with crews still fighting the fire.
“There are no reports of any injuries.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police in North East Fife are assisting Scottish Fire and Rescue Service at the scene of a fire at a farm outbuilding in Collinsburgh.
"The incident was reported around 6pm this evening (Friday, 25 March). There are no reports of any injuries.
"Officers are asking for members of the local community in Collinsburgh to remain indoors at this time and keep their windows and doors closed, due to the smoke and fumes."
