It was all eyes to the skies as RAF Puma helicopters flew over Bristol and South Gloucestershire today.
Aviation fans were delighted to see (and hear) the commemorative flypast marking the helicopters' 50 years of service.
The ten jets stormed through the air this afternoon (July 7), leaving locals confused about what was causing the loud noise.

Their route took them over Lyde Green, where the video (seen above) was taken.
One woman, who wished not to be named, said: "I looked over the Balcony from my desk as I heard them before I saw them, in my apartment in Lyde Green near Emerson’s Green."
The helicopters were first used in 1971 and have since been used in combat and humanitarian operations across the world.
To celebrate its 50th anniversary, the RAF aircraft have been given a special facelift with a brand new colour scheme - a union jack flag and Puma 50 logo.
RAF Benson, in a Facebook post, said: “This includes sites that hold historical significance for the Puma Force as well as those that provide support to delivering current Puma operational capability.”
The occasion was celebrated with the helicopters flying three legs across the UK.
The first leg started at 10am and flew from Benson to Scampton.

The second started at 1.30pm and flew from Scampton to Middle Wallop.
