Dramatic drone footage of Conham River Park in Hanham highlights the sheer scale of the flooding following recent raid. The film - taken by an employee of a Bristol Production Company - shows submerged trees and the strong rapid flow of water.
This morning a number of roads around the region remain closed due to flooding, with Avon & Somerset Police advising ‘essential travel only’ as temperatures plummet and the roads turn to ice. The Met office has also issued a ‘yellow’ weather warning across all of southern England.

The torrential downpours of the last few weeks caused massive travel chaos with roads being closed and trains cancelled. With the River Avon flooding, boats broke away from their moorings with one becoming wedged between a pub and stone bridge.
Today’s Met Office forecast was for a cold start to the day with some spells of wintry showers in the far west, turning into a dry and sunny day.
