Yuki Tsunoda is replacing Liam Lawson at Red Bull for the Japanese Grand Prix.
Lawson's two-race stint with Red Bull, marked by crashes and poor qualifying performances, has ended.
Tsunoda, a veteran of Red Bull's junior team, will partner Max Verstappen at his home race in Suzuka.
Red Bull cited the need for experience to help develop their car, the RB21, as the reason for the swap.
Lawson will return to Red Bull's junior team, Racing Bulls, to gain more experience.
