Drake places massive bet on Jorge Masvidal to beat Colby Covington at UFC 272

Drake will be keeping a close eye on the UFC 272 main event.

The hip-hop artist and pop-culture icon placed a $275,000 bet on Jorge Masvidal to defeat Colby Covington in tonight’s UFC 272 main event at T-Mobile arena in Las Vegas.

While it’s not clear what odds Drake received, according to Tipico Sports Book, Masvidal (35-15 MMA, 12-8 UFC) is a +255 underdog, while Covington (16-3 MMA, 11-3 UFC) is the favorite at -350. At those odds, Drake would stand to earn $701,250 if Masvidal pulled off the upset.

Below is a video of Drake making his bet on “Gamebred.”

Covington enters UFC 272 coming off a championship loss to Kamaru Usman at UFC 268 last November. He lost the fight by unanimous decision. Masvidal also is coming off a loss against the champion. Masvidal last fought at UFC 261and was knocked out by Usman.

Usman has defeated Covington and Masvidal two times each.
