Drake places enormous bet ahead of Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury fight

Rapper Drake has put on a jaw-dropping bet with Stake ahead of the Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury fight in Saudi Arabia. The pair are set to go face-to-face in the ring after two years of back and forth over social media on Sunday (February 26).

The long awaited fight even caught the attention of the international music star, who revealed via an Instagram post that he had placed $400,000 (£335,000) on Jake Paul to knockout Manchester's Tommy Fury, writing 'Knock Knock' beneath the post.

Should Fury be beaten, the rapper will see an eye watering $1,440,000 (£1.2m) land in his account as a result. The fight will be taking place at the third attempt following two cancelled bouts.

The 36-year-old Hotline Bling star is known for his insane bets on Stake, with him recently putting on seven insane bets on the Super Bowl, worth around £600,000 -and only one of them coming off.

There have been two attempts to stage the fight between Paul and Fury so far, with Tommy pulling out on both occasions. In the first instance back in December 2021, he withdrew due to a combination of injury and illness before Visa issues forced the cancellation of their second fight last summer.

The contest, billed as 'The Truth' will see the pair compete, not only for their pride after a tense build-up, but for a WBC ranking. The sanctioning body has confirmed that the winner of the contest will receive a world ranking for the fight in the cruiserweight division.

Jake will make about $3.2 million for the fight. That is before a 65% PPV share he will earn which could mean $8.6 million in total for the fight. Tommy, who, with a 35% PPV share having been negotiated, could make $4.5 million.

There is expected to be an array of stars at the event, with Mike Tyson and Fury's world champion brother Tyson both in Saudi Arabia in the build-up. Cristiano Ronaldo is also expected to be in attendance along with an array of famous faces from the world of sport and social media.
