Drag Race's Pangina Heals says she got vile death threats after her elimination

Drag Race UK Versus The World contestant Pangina Heals has opened up on a Facebook Live tell-all about her true feelings after her shock elimination at the hands of fellow cast member Blu Hydrangea.

After the episode aired on BBC Three on Tuesday night, fans of the star studded drag show showed up in their masses from all corners of the world to show their support for the Thai drag star who was a front runner until this shocking moment.

Having won two Ru-peter badges and being consistently at the top week after week, the judges and her fellow cast members were shocked when Blu revealed that the queen she would be sending home was in fact the probable winner Pangina.

When asked how she feels after her exit from the show, Pangina stated she was feeling a mixed bag of emotions.

She said: "I feel really proud that I was able to showcase my drag, my personality, my culture, my heritage as the first Thai contestant on Drag Race who comes from South East Asia.

Pangina Heals was previously a judge on Thailand's Drag Race (BBC/World Of Wonder)

"I felt like I represented myself the best way that I could possibly do. I do feel heartbroken, but to remember this was a year ago so I had time to process this and at no point was I angry at Blu, ever.

"It's a game. Someone has to go home and it just happened to be me."

During last week's episode Pangina was the winner of the challenge which led to her sending home Canadian fan favourite Jimbo, who had been crawling her way to the top too.

As Blu sent home the former Drag Race Thailand judge this week, fans were quick to call it 'karma' online and speak out with hashtags #JusticeForJimbo.

When questioned on the backlash Pangina received for sending Jimbo home, she said she is thankful that she has a lot of self love otherwise things would be different.

She added: "There's a saying in Thai that means you don't know other people's way of life, because they're in a different context, they might have been in a different setting.

"So you can't expect everyone to have the same level of kindness or decency to understand human interaction.

Pangina has revealed she received death threats (BBC/World of Wonder/Guy Levy)

"Sometimes people just see queens' characters and they have no feelings but once you hear but once you see three to five hundred messages of people telling you to go kill yourself or racist things then it does trickle through.

"If I didn't have a strong level of support or self love then things could get really bad."

Taking things back to when Pangina first received the call to take the leap from the judging panel to throwing her hat into the ring of competing, she explained that she screamed so loud that her boyfriend thought that her grandmother died.

Pangina said: "I was screaming for five minutes and crying for no reason and he was like tell me and I was like 'Oh my god it's happening'.

"It was literally a dream I didn't dare to dream, so when I got that call I was like is this really happening, is my life about to change forever?

"Not only am I about to become a Rugirl but the whole world is going to get to see my drag after 11 years of working and hustling. Besides the fact I was a judge on the Thai franchise, how could I be eligible to compete?"

Pangina previously judged the first two seasons of Drag Race Thailand, so when the cast was announced for the international spin off fans were quick to express their opinion that she would experience some favouritism. But Pangina was quick to hit back at such suggestions.

She said: "Each time I walk down the runway I try to present myself as a character and in what I wore.

"There is that level of detail because I was looking at all the details before from the contestants doing it so it does help but each judge has a different criteria.

"Just because there are certain things that I like does not mean that the judges are going to like the same thing."
