It’s officially draft season.
With the NFL combine set to begin later this month, attention has turned to the 2024 NFL draft. It’s still a little more than two months away, but the draft will be on the minds of all football fans in the coming weeks.
As we inch closer to Round 1 (April 25), pundits will begin releasing their rankings of prospects in this year’s class. Last week, Natalie Miller of Draft Wire revealed her rankings of the top five quarterbacks in the 2024 draft.
The top three — USC’s Caleb Williams, UNC’s Drake Maye and LSU’s Jayden Daniels — seem to be consensus picks among pundits. Miller’s next two QBs are Oregon’s Bo Nix and Michigan’s J.J. McCarthy.
Williams is ranked No. 2 overall on Miller’s big board of top 50 prospects, followed by Maye (No. 3) and Daniels (No. 6). Washington’s Michael Penix Jr. did not make the top-five list, but he is No. 50 on the big board.
The Denver Broncos hold six draft picks this year, including the 12th overall pick in the first round.
