With the deadline approaching for underclassmen to declare for the 2025 NFL draft, several big-time prospects have announced their decisions.
A trio of decisions from Penn State stars have implications for the Denver Broncos.
First, the bad news: Nittany Lions running backs Nicholas Singleton and Kaytron Allen have opted to return for the 2025 college football season. That gives the Broncos two fewer quality RBs to choose from in April.
Now, the good news: Penn State tight end Tyler Warren has declared for the 2025 NFL draft. Warren won the John Mackey Award — given to the nation’s best tight end — after hauling in 104 receptions for 1,233 yards and eight touchdowns as a redshirt senior in 2024.
Warren would be a dream pick and seemingly a perfect fit for coach Sean Payton’s offense. A former quarterback, Warren is a versatile weapon with big-play ability and reliable blocking.

Denver is set to pick 20th overall in the 2025 NFL draft on April 24. There’s no guarantee Warren will still be available at that spot, but the Broncos could move up if Payton falls in love with the prospect. Stay tuned.
