Doctor Who fans hope Ncuti Gatwa will dazzle them when he stars in the programme – and the signs are already looking good.
Photos show the actor’s outfit to play the Time Lord will include a bright orange top.
Ncuti, 30, who will also be wearing brown check trousers and a matching long coat, had revealed he would get a say in the style of his clobber for the BBC sci-fi role, adding: “It will be exciting.”
The Doctor’s companion – Ruby Sunday played by Coronation Street star Millie Gibson, 18 – will be in dark blue shorts and a light jacket.
Ncuti, who made his name in comedy-drama Sex Education, takes over as the Doctor next year.
He replaces Jodie Whittaker who began in the role in 2017.
Her companions on the show included Yaz Khan played by Mandip Gill, and Dan Lewis portrayed by John Bishop.
