Dr Michael Mosley has shared a number of "anti-ageing" foods he believes we should be eating on a daily basis.
The expert has long been famed for his diet advice and has just filmed a series which features him examining ageing and how food plays its part in our overall health. During filming While making the new documentary, the weight loss guru spoke to the world's leading scientists who are researching ways to slow, or even reverse, the ageing process.
A surprising conclusion Dr Mosley reached, was how genetics play a relatively small part in how we age, Coventry Live reports.

Instead, lifestyle is far more important, as the doctor found that eating for your gut health, microbiome, is integral to ageing well and surviving well beyond the average lifespan.
Writing in the Daily Mail, he said: "We know that what, and how much, you eat play key roles in whether you stay healthy or not — but what seems to be equally important is the impact this food has on your gut microbiome.
The doctor added: " The best way to boost gut levels of bacteroidetes (and other 'good' bacteria) is to eat a largely plant-based, fibre-rich diet, making sure you eat lots of different-coloured fruit and veg."
He also said "daily helpings of fermented foods, such as sauerkraut and kimchi" are also good for a gut boost, while sugary foods have the opposite effect.
