Police are appealing for public help after letters containing used condoms were mailed to dozens of women across Melbourne’s suburbs.
Victorian Police said the bizarre handwritten letters were sent to at least 65 women in Melbourne’s south-east and east between March 20 and May 15.
All of the targeted women reportedly graduated from Kilbreda College in suburban Mentone in 1999, leading police to believe the attack was targeted.
“In most instances, victims have been receiving packages containing handwritten messages and the used prophylactics,” Victoria Police said in a statement on Wednesday.
“It is believed that most of those who reported the material have received multiple letters, all with the suspected used item included.”
Police believe the victims are linked and are part of a targeted attack.
They are continuing to investigate.
