Dozens injured at Louis Tomlinson concert as freak storm pelts fans with hailstones

The terrifying moment Louis Tomlinson 's fan took shelter amid a freak storm has been captured on video.

The 31-year-old former One Direction singer had been due to perform at the Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre in Colorado last night. However, the show didn't end up going ahead amid a freak hailstorm that left multiple people needing hospitalisation.

It is understood that fans were forced to seek shelter due to the severe weather, with some concertgoers left with injuries, some of which included broken bones.

And the moment hundreds of fans were seen huddled together and taking shelter has now been captured on video.

In the video, everyone looks terrified at the freak weather as they gather under a roof next to the amphitheatre, while people in the distance can be seen hurrying by with their hoods up.

Fans believed to have been in attendance have shared accounts on social media, including one person who said it was the "scariest night" of their life in a tweet on the platform.

They said: "It started pelting people with hail [and I] luckily found shelter under a sign." They also shared harrowing footage of people screaming as they seemingly faced hailstones.

The concert - which is part of Louis' ongoing world tour Faith in the Future - was initially delayed due to the weather but ended up being postponed later in the evening.

The show was first delayed at around 8pm last night due to the weather, and fans were told to seek shelter.

It was subsequently given the go-ahead to start at around 8.35pm.

However, news of another delay was issued at around 9.15pm, and the show was postponed at around 10.25pm. It was confirmed by the venue and Louis' team on social media.

Following the severe weather incident, Louis issued a message to his fans.

He tweeted: "Devastated about the show tonight, hope everyone's ok, I'll be back! Even though we didn't play the show I felt all of your passion! Sending you all love!"

It's understood that a severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for parts of Colorado until around 4am MDT (around 11am BST), according to the likes of Denver7.

Reports say that 90 were injured at the gig, while seven were taken to hospital.
