A man has been injured in Co Down after being shot at and struck from a car while he was out jogging.
Police received a report of an assault within the vicinity of Belfast Road, Downpatrick, shortly before 7.10pm on Tuesday June 28. The victim was shot with a pellet believed to be from a BB gun.
He was struck once in the chest, causing a red mark. A vehicle was later stopped by police in relation to the incident and searches were carried out.

A PSNI spokesperson told Belfast Live: "A BB gun and a small quantity of Class B contr[olled drugs were uncovered.
"Enquiries are ongoing into this investigation and police are appealing to anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity in the area at the time, or have any information which could assist, to contact them on 101, and quote reference number 1409 of 28/06/22.
