A man has been taken to hospital after being attacked with a glass bottle on Sunday.
Police say they are appealing for information and witnesses following the assault which occurred in licensed premises in the Church Street area of Downpatrick. It happened in the early hours of this morning, October 23.
Sergeant Boyle added: "We received a report just after 1.45am that a man in his 20s had been assaulted with a glass bottle by an unknown man. The victim was taken to hospital for treatment.

"We have begun an investigation into this assault and would appeal to anyone who witnessed it or who may have information regarding the matter to contact police on 101 quoting reference number 186 of 23/10/22.
