Excitement is building up for the sell-out 2023 edition of Download Festival with tens of thousands expected to attend the event. Taking place at Donington Park, next to East Midlands Airport, the heavy music extravaganza has been a must-visit event for rock fans all over since its 2003 debut.
And the festival is back in full force for 2023 with an extra day of music marking its 20th anniversary. It features a stellar line-up across the long weekend which kicks off on Thursday, June 8.
It will see metal heavyweights including Metallica and Slipknot take to the stage, as well as Placebo, Bring Me The Horizon, and many more. Camping opened on Wednesday, June 7, with live music starting a day earlier this year - on Thursday, June 8 rather than Friday.
