Dougie Poynter took to social media to share jaw-dropping unseen snaps of his McFly bandmates Tom Fletcher and Harry Judd.
The 34-year-old took to his Instagram Stories to share pictures from the band’s early days, including one of him with his hair in spikes while wearing a red t-shirt.
He then shared another of him, Harry and Tom as they relaxed, with the former Strictly Come Dancing star cheekily swearing at the band’s drummer.
It’s not known why he decided to share the throwback snaps, taken almost 20 years ago, but the pictures delighted fans, despite Danny Jones being missing from the posts.
He also shared more pictures on the social media site Discord, as users spotted he had uploaded never-before-seen photos of the band as they first shot to fame.
McFly are currently preparing to head to Brazil, after being forced to rearrange their gigs in the country due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
They announced the rescheduled dates would take place in May in a post on Twitter and Instagram.
“The wait is over… we are FINALLY coming to Brazil,” they began.
“We can’t wait to see you all very soon!”
The band first shot to fame in 2004, when their debut single Five Colours in Her Hair went straight to the top of the charts.
They’ve gone on to release six chart-topping albums, won countless awards and jetted off around the world on 14 tours, and even joined forces with Busted members Matt Willis and James Bourne to form supergroup McBusted.
However, Dougie has suffered with the downside of fame, and experienced problems with his mental health, and in a campaign with band member Tom last year, he bravely spoke about having therapy and talking about his feelings.
He admitted he had no idea what anxiety was when he was younger, and was terrified when he began having panic attacks.
“Back in the day, I didn’t even know what anxiety was, or panic attacks. I genuinely just thought I was dying,” he told RTE.
Dougie now focuses on his mental wellbeing, and makes sure he exercises daily, as well as keeping an eye on his diet, getting enough sleep and meditating.
“I can get away with one of those not being around on any given day without things collapsing, but any more than two and I start not being in the greatest headspace,” he confessed.
