Doughnuts was revealed to be footballer Michael Owen on The Masked Singer tonight.
It was a double elimination on the ITV show this evening with Michael the second celeb of the night to have their identity revealed, following on from Firework's exit earlier in the programme.
Host Joel Dommett and the five judges - Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall, Mo Gilligan, Rita Ora as well as guest judge Years & Years' Olly Alexander - were surprised by the latest revelation.
Speaking after their exit, the unmasked celeb said: "I surprised myself, I think," as he explained how everyone in the football world would have been so shocked to see him on a show like this.
Ahead of the unveiling, the judges were asked who they thought the celeb behind the mask might be.
Olly guessed it was Andy Cole, whilst Rita suggested it could be Alan Shearer.
Footballer Michael Owen was Jonathan Ross' guess and Davina's was Gary Lineker. Comedian Mo thought it could be Michael Owen behind the mask.
Doughnuts has made quite an impression on the four judges - and whilst his singing voice might not have been as impressive as the other celebs behind the mask, he has wowed the viewers in the studio and at home with his entertainment value.
In fact, Doughnuts had the whole studio in fits of laughter with their performances - which have so far been Survivor's Eye of the Tiger, a hilarious rendition of the Spice Girls' hit, Spice Up Your Life and their clue song during last week's show was Sweet Caroline, leaving people at home convinced it must be a football star behind the mask.
Fans are convinced they've worked out who Doughnuts is, with Michael Owen and Gary Lineker two names being thrown into the ring as well as Peter Crouch, Craig Charles and Alan Shearer.
"I was certainly on fire when I came out of the oven. Fresh out of the box, I was making a name for myself and putting doughnuts on the map. And my career has seen me reach some dizzying heights," the secret celeb said in last week's clue VT.
"You’re not gonna believe some of the opportunities that I’ve had - or the people I’ve got to meet."
During tonight's show, seven remaining contestants - Doughnuts, Traffic Cone, Panda, Rockhopper, Mushroom, Firework and Robobunny - took to the stage for some great performances in a bid to save themselves from elimination.
Five stars have previously been unmasked, the latest before today being Poodle (Tom Chaplin). Bagpipes (Pat Cash), Lionfish (Will Young), Snow Leopard (Gloria Hunniford) as well as Chandelier (Heather Small) are the other four celebs to have been unveiled to be behind the show's elaborate costumes.
