Doughnotts to hold another sale with huge price cuts off its sweet treats

Nottingham doughnut company Doughnotts has decided to hold a second day of reduced prices for its popular sweet treats after selling out last week. Queues formed outside shops and hundreds of people were able to get their hands on a doughnut at a bargain price.

However, many fans were left disappointed after missing out. To make up for it, Doughnotts will be repeating the deal on Friday, January 20. Every doughnut, whether standard or premium, will be £2 and hot drinks will be £1.50. Normally a doughnut and large coffee would set customers back £5.50.

All shops and outlets, including King Street in Nottingham, Beeston, and Giltbrook Retail Park, will be running the offer. There's also a kiosk at East Midlands Designer Outlet, just over the Derbyshire border.

A Doughnotts spokesman said: "We have actually decided to give it a second run this Friday. It was so popular and a lot of people didn’t get to take advantage of it."

Previously he said they'd been speaking to customers, who had been struggling with the cost of living and increasingly more and more were unable to treat themselves at an affordable price. There's no limit to the amount of doughnuts someone can buy, and customers can save up to 47 percent on their purchases.

The doughnuts, which are larger than those sold by rival chains, include favourites such as Cookie Monster, Red Velvet, Salted Caramel and Death by Chocolate. Amongst the premium options are Thicka than a Snicka, Weekend Billionaire and Happy Hippo.

It's one of the many cut-price offers in Notts at restaurants and pubs at the moment, with January food and drink sales in full swing.
