The USMNT continued its domination of the Mexican National Team by winning the final of the third edition of the CONCACAF Leagues Cup at AT&T Stadium in Dallas.
With goals in each half of the game, the U.S. won this championship for the third consecutive time.
The first goal was scored by defender Tyler Adams in the 45th minute of the first half, with a stunning shot from outside the box to deny legendary Mexican goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa.
The second goal, also from long distance, was scored by Giovanni Reyna in the 63rd minute of the second half.
In front of more than 80,000 fans, with a majority of El Tri fans, the USA dominated almost every play and it was not until the Mexican coach, Jaime Lozano, adjusted his lineup that there was an improvement in the visiting team's approach.
However, the Mexican team's effort was not enough and the U.S. took the Leagues Cup.
The match was suspended twice due to homophobic chants.
