Borussia Dortmund star Mats Hummels has called for Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo to join his side this summer.
Ronaldo has been searching for a move away from United after he expressed his desire to play Champions League football. The five-time Ballon d'Or winner has featured in all three of United's Premier League games so far this season, although Erik ten Hag made the bold call to drop him for their 2-1 victory over Liverpool.
The 37-year-old made a brief cameo during the match as he came on as an 86th-minute substitute for goalscorer Marcus Rashford. Ronaldo's only start for United so far this season came in the 4-0 defeat at Brentford.

While Bayern Munich have ruled themselves out of a move for Ronaldo, could Dortmund now be a potential destination? Dortmund can offer Ronaldo the Champions League football he so desperately craves and centre-back Hummels appears to be a big fan of the United forward.
He took to social media to cheekily joke about the 37-year-old joining his club this summer. The defender posted a picture of himself in training to his Instagram story, in what appears to be Ronaldo's famous 'SIUUU' pose, along with the caption: "Me: I want Ronaldo in the BVB jersey. Mom: We have Ronaldo at home. Ronaldo at home:"
With less than a week to go until the transfer window slams shut on September 1, Ronaldo's future is still to be decided. All eyes will turn to Ten Hag's teamsheet for Southampton this Saturday to see whether Ronaldo is named back in the starting XI for the trip to St Mary's.
