Doorbell footage shows young boys making heart-warming Halloween gesture

Doorbell footage has captured a heart-warming gesture from two young boys whilst out trick or treating for Halloween. Jodie Laithy left a bowl of sweets outside her door last night and was shocked to see the 'cutest thing ever' from the two youngsters when reviewing back the footage from her camera, reports the Liverpool Echo.

In the footage, the two boys approached Jodie's home wearing ski masks and rang her doorbell. After waiting a few seconds, the duo noticed a sweet bowl by the front door.

However, unfortunately the pair of trick or treaters were left aghast by the bowl being bare. One of the boys then picked up the empty sweet bowl before declaring "somebody has taken them".

He then opened his own plastic bag of sweets that he had been collecting throughout the evening and starting placing them in the bowl. The duo then turned to face the camera and said: "Happy Halloween" before heading off to continue their evening.

Jodie shared the lovely footage to social media in the hope that the children's parents see the video to see how 'amazing' their boys are. Jodie said: "These kids actions were so cute. I hope their parents see it and are proud of them.

"We left a bowl of sweets out for the kids while we were out, and because it was empty they put some of their own sweets in it. I didn’t expect that from two young lads, amazing they are.

"And their little wave and 'happy Halloween' was the cutest thing ever."

The footage has already been shared hundreds of times on Facebook, with one woman saying it "made her cry".

Vicky Gallagher said: "Oh I hope their mums see this and feel so proud! This is the best, what a gorgeous pair of boys."

Hayley Alf Sadie said: "Awww this made me cry."
