A woman’s door cam footage has gone viral after revealing that the adults taking their children trick or treating took all of the sweets for themselves.
The shocking moment was captured by the doorbell camera of TikTok user Elizabeth Peck who posted it to the social media site with the caption, “I was in bed eating candy watching and laughing.”
The initial text read, “It’s the adults you have to look out for when trusting trick or treaters” and what happens next explains why.
In the clip, a man and woman can be seen approaching Peck’s house accompanied by two children.
Though their faces are intentionally obscured, the adults then pick up the huge plate filled with Halloween candy for all of the evening’s trick or treaters and pour its entire contents into their large sack, before walking off.

Described as “Covid trick or treating”, Peck seemed to have left the candy outside in good faith to avoid having to answer the door and interact face-to-face with lots of different people.
But, the parents have been described as “selfish” by shocked viewers for taking the whole lot and setting a bad example for their children.
The TikTok has been viewed over 1.2 million times and received more than 3,000 comments.
One person wrote: “Why have they got to ruin it for other people’s kids? Like really, teaching your kids selfish things.”
Another said: “These parents are entitled and embarrassing and that’s putting it nicely.”
Someone else claimed: “When anything is free, the scummiest people will take advantage.”
