Online survey software firm Doopoll has been acquired by the sector’s biggest global player.
Cardiff-based Doopoll has been taken over by US online survey and research services firm QuestionPro. The value of the deal has not been disclosed. Founded in 2015 by Steve Dimmick, Doopoll provides multilingual realtime engagement solutions to customers across the globe.
Its features and its customers will now be integrated into QuestionPro’s management platform, while boosting the US firm’s presence in the UK.
Mr Dimmick said: “I am so proud of all Doopoll has achieved during the past eight years serving customers locally and globally.
“There’s no doubt that the combination of Doopoll and QuestionPro will offer customers a broader and richer set of features and benefits. Diolch to everyone who supported us on this incredible journey.”
Newport-headquartered taxi group Veezu has been using Doopoll for the last few years to gauge customer sentiment.
Its marketing director Barry Jenkins said: “It’s been amazing to watch the product grow. It seems a natural progression for Doopoll and QuestionPro to combine and offer a richer experience. We’re already reaping the benefits of this advancement.”
The Development Bank of Wales had a six-figure equity investment in Doopoll. It has been asked if has secured a return on investment.
