Jeff Stelling has scoffed at the claim Celtic only progressed in the Champions League due to a "really easy" list of fixtures in the revamped UEFA competition.
Celtic advanced into the knockout play-off round after finishing 21st in the league phase where they earned 12 points from eight matches.
Under the revamped competition format, clubs placing from ninth to 24th move into the knockout play-off round of the competition with sides first to eighth directly into the last 16.
Celtic earned three wins [against Red Bull Leipzig, Slovan Bratislava and Young Boys], and three draws [against Atalanta, Dinamo Zagreb and Club Brugge] to claim a spot in the knockout stage.
Brendan Rodgers' side only lost to Borussia Dortmund and Aston Villa in the league phase.

However, a talkSPORT caller claimed Celtic had "scraped through" after being handed a favourable draw in the Champions League.
Host Stelling was having none of it, though, as he quickly dismissed the claim as he reeled off a number of Celtic opponents in the competition.
The legendary broadcaster said: "Oh, that’s right. A really easy group involving Aston Villa, Borussia Dortmund, Red Bull Leipzig, Atalanta, and even Club Brugge.
“Don’t make me laugh, it wasn’t an easy group and they deserve to be where they are.
“You might be right when he goes on to say that Bayern will dismantle Celtic tonight, but we shall see.”
