Manchester United supporters waxed lyrical about midfielder Donny van de Beek after he grabbed a smart assist for the Reds' second goal in their friendly against Crystal Palace.
Leading 1-0 at half-time thanks to Anthony Martial's third goal in as many pre-season matches, United doubled their advantage shortly after the restart, with Marcus Rashford tapping home from close quarters to claim his second goal of pre-season. The England international finished coolly after receiving a square pass from substitute Van de Beek.
Van de Beek's introduction was the only change made by manager Erik ten Hag at half-time, stepping off the bench to replace Scott McTominay. Ten Hag confirmed ahead of kick-off that he wanted to give his players the chance to get more minutes under their belts, opposed to making wholesale changes at the break, just as he did against Liverpool and Melbourne Victory.

United's attackers were all involved in Rashford's goal, with Jadon Sancho and Martial combining with Van de Beek, before the latter, unselfishly - and cleverly, given the amount of bodies in his way - rolled the ball across for Rashford to tap home.
Eleven minutes after Rashford netted United's second, Sancho added a third, breaking clear and firing a shot past substitute goalkeeper Remi Matthews.
