Donny van de Beek has responded to news Erik ten Hag has been appointed as the new manager of Manchester United.
The Dutch midfielder joined the Blues from United in January on a loan deal until the end of the season. He's made just six appearances in all competitions under Frank Lampard.
Van de Beek's time at United has been far from straightforward as he struggled to establish a starting place under previous manager Ole Gunnar Solskaer. But, Ten Hag's arrival could come as a boost as he's previously worked under him at Ajax.

The 25-year-old has reacted to the news on social media, liking a series of posts from his former club confirming Ten Hag's departure.
He'll take charge of the Manchester club at the end of the season and Van de Beek will return following the conclusion of his loan deal. It seems he's pleased with the news and he's given his seal of approval on Instagram.
Ten Hag told manutd.com : “It is a great honour to be appointed manager of Manchester United and I am hugely excited by the challenge ahead. I know the history of this great club and the passion of the fans, and I am absolutely determined to develop a team capable of delivering the success they deserve.
“It will be difficult to leave Ajax after these incredible years, and I can assure our fans of my complete commitment and focus on bringing this season to a successful conclusion before I move to Manchester United.”
Van de Beek joined Ajax as a youth player in 2008 and was later promoted to the first team eight years later. His form in the Eredivisie earned him a move to United in 2020.
He's a player that's impressed Lampard in his short time on Merseyside so far, as the Blues boss has previously spoken highly of his fitness and game sharpness.
