Donny van de Beek admits he has a point to prove at Everton having been shunned at Manchester United.
The Dutchman endured a horror 18 months at Old Trafford after signing from Ajax.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer continued to overlook Van de Beek, restricting him to substitute cameos at best.
Despite the midfielder being left frustrated, a summer move away was blocked on the understanding that he would be more involved this term.
Not only did this not materialise under Solskjaer, but Rangnick failed to give the Dutchman his chance, too. Seizing on a January opportunity to nab the player, Frank Lampard moved quick to bring him to Everton on loan.
Van de Beek has enjoyed regular minutes and is out to showcase his worth after being denied the opportunity in Manchester.

When asked if he has a point to make, he told the club programme: "Yes, but it is also for everyone around me.
"If I play well, I do it for them, for my girlfriend and for my family and friends.
"I want to give joy to those people. And to the fans. Then I want to do it for myself. Of course, sometimes I am disappointed and frustrated.
"But I always try to stay positive and believe there will be a day it will change.
"I can only change it with hard work, I want to show that some people are wrong and I still have the quality to play - I always aim to do this."
The former Ajax man scored the final goal of Solskjaer's tenure during a defeat at Watford but hasn't been afforded a single Premier League start.
Fred, Scott McTominay and Paul Pogba are all ahead of the 24-year-old in the pecking order, which has left him fighting for his place in the national team
"In the end, it’s a question of competition," Ralf Rangnick explained
"Like Paul Pogba, I see him in the centre of midfield as one of the 6 or 8 positions and we have quite a few other good players in those positions, therefore he didn’t get much game-time.
"But that doesn’t mean he’s not good enough for the Premier League or Manchester United.
"I’m pretty sure that he will get his game-time at Everton and show what kind of quality he can be."
Lampard claimed he was keen to add Van de Beek because he knew the type of player he would be recruiting.
"Sometimes it's good to get players in who have a point to prove," said the Everton boss. "They come in with hunger. I trust in their talent and I trust them as people."
