Donegal vs Tyrone: Team news as Darren McCurry returns for the Red Hands

Tyrone have recalled Darren McCurry for Saturday night’s All-Ireland SFC preliminary quarter-final battle with Donegal in Ballybofey.

The Edendork clubman was a late omission from the Tyrone starting line-up last Saturday as the Red Hands drew with Westmeath in Kingspan Breffni.

Feargal Logan indicated after the game that McCurry’s injury was not serious and he has been deemed fit to return to bolster his side’s chances against their Ulster rivals.

Omagh’s Aidan Clarke drops to the bench in what is the only change to the first 15 from last weekend.

There is also a return to the match-day panel for Cathal McShane while the likes of Frank Burns, Kieran McGeary and Niall Sludden are also among the substitutes.

Donegal, meanwhile, have made one change from last Saturday’s defeat of Monaghan with Jason McGee recalled to the attack in place of Odhran Doherty.

McGee missed last weekend’s win over the Farney through injury while captain Paddy McBrearty is, once again, held in reserve by Aidan O’Rourke.

McBrearty suffered a hamstring tear in February’s League defeat to Tyrone in Omagh and he’ll be involved at some stage in Saturday night after playing the final 15 minutes of last weekend’s win over Monaghan at O’Neills Healy Park.
