With the group stages concluded, Donegal and Tyrone are both vying for a place in the All-Ireland SFC quarter-finals.
The Ulster rivals clash in the preliminary quarter-finals with Donegal enjoying home advantage after finishing second in Group Four following their surprise win over Monaghan in Omagh last Saturday evening.
The Red Hands ended up finishing third in Group Two, but were almost eliminated after John Heslin missed a late free with Tyrone drawing 0-18 each with Westmeath in Kingspan Breffni Park last Sunday.
Tyrone defeated Donegal by eight points in round two of the Allianz Football League back in February, but the Tír Chonaill men seem to have turned a corner under Aidan O’Rourke and Paddy O’Rourke in recent weeks.
Reaching the last eight would be a huge result after a turbulent season for Donegal while Tyrone are under pressure to secure a return to Croke Park after a mixed Championship campaign.
