An airline which flies to a Yorkshire airport set to close next month will transfer its flights to Leeds Bradford Airport (LBA).
Wizz Air, which flies from Eastern Europe to Doncaster Sheffield Airport (DSA), has confirmed it will instead be flying to the Yeadon airport from October 31. This follows the announcement on Monday that the South Yorkshire airport will be closing.
The airline's flights from the Polish cities of Gdansk, Katowice, Krakow, Warsaw and Wroclaw as well as the Romanian cities of Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca will continue to fly to DSA until October 30. Those with tickets for Wizz Air flights to DSA will be rebooked onto flights to LBA, or offered alternative flights, a refund or a credit note, Wizz Air said today.

Wizz Air said: "Wizz Air today confirms that all routes to DSA will transfer to LBA from October 31, 2022. This follows the announcement on September 26 that DSA will close. Wizz Air flights from Gdansk, Katowice, Krakow, Warsaw, Wroclaw, Bucharest, and Cluj-Napoca will continue to operate to DSA as planned until October 30, 2022.
"Customers booked to travel on those routes after October 30, 2022 will be automatically rebooked onto flights operating to LBA and will be given the option to accept the new flight, change their booking to an alternative flight free of charge, or cancel their flight to receive a full refund to the original payment method or 120% in Wizz credit."
