Donald Trump thinks Jayden Daniels should be in the MVP conversation

Washington D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser has worked hard to bring the Commanders back to the city. Recently, the United States Senate approved a bill to give the District control over the federally owned RFK Stadium land. This would allow the NFL franchise to build its new stadium there in the coming years.

All that awaits is President Joe Biden’s signature, which allows Washington, D.C., to control the land.

However, on January 20, less than three weeks away, the United States will have a new President, as Donald Trump takes over for his second term.

Bowser recently spoke with President-Elect Trump about some of D.C.’s issues, saying it was a “good meeting,” according to Mark Segraves of NBC 4 Washington.

Bowser also apparently talked some football with Trump. The apparent topic of conversation was the hometown team and their rookie quarterback, Jayden Daniels.

Trump likes Daniels and believes he should be in the MVP conversation.

“I’m not gonna talk about any specifics about [the] RFK [stadium site],” Bowser said per NBC 4. “It came up, like, on a very high level in conversation … He was well aware of Jayden Daniels and why he should be the rookie of the year and possibly the MVP.”

There you have it; even the former and soon-to-be President thinks Daniels should be in the MVP conversation. The Commanders went from 4-13 last season to 11-5 this season with one game remaining. Washington has already clinched a playoff spot.
