Donald Trump spotted lunching with LIV Golf rebel Brooks Koepka amid arrest wait

Donald Trump has been spotted enjoying lunch with LIV Golf rebel Brooks Koepka, as the former President of the United States awaits a possible arrest.

Trump could well be arrested and charged over an alleged hush money payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels during his Presidential campaign in 2016. Whilst the trial is ongoing in New York, Trump continues to reside in his home in Florida.

Despite the fears of becoming the first former US President to have criminal charges brought against them, the 76-year-old has been seen relaxing, and in the company of one of golf's hottest players in Koepka.

A clip of the pair has been uploaded across social media, as they appear to be enjoying a spot of lunch in a golf club clubhouse. This is not the first time Trump and Koepka have enjoyed each other's company, after they were paired together in a pro-am event at LIV Miami last October.

The former US President shares a strong relationship with the Saudi-funded circuit, having hosted two LIV events in 2022 at his courses, including the £40.7million finale in Miami where he joined Koepka. This was not the first time the two had teed it up on the golf course though.

Back in 2020, Trump hosted Koepka, his brother - and fellow LIV player Chase - and his dad, Bob at his West Palm Beach course in Florida. Not many players have enjoyed more success than Koepka in recent years, with the American winning four majors, a whole host of Tour events, as well as two Ryder Cups.

Despite all this, the LIV star revealed playing with the ex-President was one of the 'coolest moments' of his life. Speaking back in 2020, Koepka said: "He’s asked me to play golf maybe three or four times, and it just hasn’t worked out.

"His schedule is kind of busy, so it’s kind of changed a little bit. I had to cancel on him I think once or twice, too, just some things I had going. It was fun. I actually had a blast. We laughed it up. It was fun. It was great to get out there.

"I hadn’t played that course in years and I’ve been lucky enough to be around quite a few Presidents and sitting Presidents where it’s been probably one of the top five coolest moments of my life, getting to play golf with the President.”
