Donald Trump snubs Melania in post-indictment rant as wife and Ivanka nowhere to be seen

Donald Trump's wife Melania and daughter Ivanka were nowhere to be seen as the former President lashed out at prosecutors and the judge after his historic arrest.

After his appearance at court on Tuesday, April 4, loudmouth Trump returned to his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida where he addressed friends, family and supporters and lavished praise on members of his family.

But notably he made no mention at all of his wife Melania, who along with daughter Ivanka were not seen by his side.

His children Donald Junior, Eric and Tiffany were all present at his his post-arraignment speech on Tuesday evening, where Trump spoke to a crowd of supporters.

During the speech, Trump once again protested his innocence, lashing out out the prosecution and attacking the prosecutor and judge presiding over the case.

The crowd of supporters at Mar-a-Lago included long-time allies but wife Melania was absent and was also not spotted with him when he arrived in New York to face indictment.

Daughter Ivanka was also absent, though it is thought she was with husband Jared Kushner in Wyoming to celebrate Passover, a trip they have made previously.

Former First Lady Melania was last seen having dinner with her husband at Mar-a-Lago on Thursday, March 30, just after news of the indicment origianlly broke.

Insiders yesterday told The Mirror that although the couple live together at Mar-A-Lago, they conduct separate lives, only coming together for the occasional dinner at his Palm Beach mansion - and some people are of the belief they could be heading for a divorce.

“Their paths barely cross,” said a source.

“Melania is no different to any woman. Having her husband accused of cheating on her not just once but twice is extremely disturbing.

"There is little wonder people believe it's not just the criminal court Trump is heading to but possibly a divorce one too."

The 45th US president is facing 34 felony counts charging him in a scheme to bury allegations of having affairs which arose during his first White House campaign in 2016.

He's facing charges which are likely to have significant impact on his personal life and family relationships, as he faces charges relating to a hush money payment made to porn star Stormy Daniels in the run up to his election.

Ms Daniels claimed to have had a sexual encounter with Trump, who was married at the time, before he got into politics and became a contender for the presidency.

Trump has died having sexual liaisons with Ms Daniels and has denied any wrongdoing involving payments.

Hours after pleading not guilty to the 34 charges in a Manhattan courtroom, Mr Trump addressed crowds at Mar-a-Lago saying: "I have a great family and they've done a fantastic job and we appreciate it very much. They've gone through a lot.

"I have a son here [Donald Jr] who has done a great job, another son here [Eric] who has done a great job, and Ivanka. And Barron will be great someday. He is tall and he is smart."

In a clip from Fox News shared on his Truth Social platform, Trump said: "I never thought anything like this could happen in America, never thought it could happen.

"The only crime that I have committed is to fearlessly defend our nation from those who seek to destroy it."

The statement was met by cheers from a crowd of supporters, with many spotted wearing MAGA hats.

Another clip shared by the former president on the platform called the indictment "massive election interference on a scale never seen before in our country."

He went on to say: "The USA is a mess." Talking about the case further, he said: "This is a persecution, not an investigation."

In the same part of his speech, he addressed Ms Daniels' actions, saying: "She's put our family through hell. It's cost hundreds of millions of dollars to defend, but our heads are held very, very high.

"They want to settle the case but I want no part of that. So here we are now, it's where we were today, in a city that was so great just four or five years ago.

"But now we're there, spent time there today as you possibly read, with a local failed district attorney charging a former president of the United States for the first time in history on a basis that every single pundit and legal analyst said 'there is no case. there's no case.' they kept saying 'there's no case'.
