Donald Trump’s presidential envoy Steve Witkoff compared Élysée Palace to the Republican’s Mar-a-Lago resort during a visit to France for Ukraine security talks.
Mr Witkoff joined Marco Rubio and other top European officials for meetings on Thursday (17 April) before Emmanuel Macron brought them together for final talks.
The US Secretary of State has warned that the US will walk away from talks aimed at brokering a Russia-Ukraine peace deal within days unless there are clear signs that an agreement can be reached.
